The new ruling Labour Group on the Council has created a new Executive Member posts increasing the new “cabinet” from 7 to 8 at a cost of £14,700. They say that they will make savings through, as yet unidentified, savings by changing the committee structure.  We say that if they are savings to be made they should be used to support the Council budget, not to line the pockets of Councillors.
