Famous authors in York

As part of the Theakston Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival, best-selling author, Peter Robinson will be at Explore York Library on 6 June from 6.30pm.

During the evening Peter will be talking about his own novels and also introducing the audience to New Blood crime writers Steven Dunne and David Mark.

Explore York Library and Learning Centre is also launching a new readers’ Crime Book Group which will meet on the second Thursday of the month in the cafe area of the centre.

There will also be an author event from the Crime Writers’ Association, as part of National Crime Month.

On Wednesday 20 June, 7pm at Explore York, come and meet crime writers Sheila Quigley and Bill Kitson.

Sheila Quigley is the author of thrillers such as Run For Home, Bad Moon Rising, The Road To Hell, Nowhere Man, and Thorn In My Side, to name but a few. Sheila’s novels are set in the fictional estate of Seahills in Sunderland.

Bill Kitson is a prolific crime writer. His latest novel, ‘Identity Crisis’, is the 6th in his Detective Inspector Mike Nash series, which is set in North Yorkshire.
