Sports club leaders to be offered expert advice at Just 30 Fair

City of York Council has teamed up with Sport England and Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) to offer free business support and advice for local Sport and Activity clubs at the Just 30 Fair.

The Club Leaders Learning Bus will be parked at Rowntree Park on Saturday 15 September from 12 noon until 5pm, as part of the Fair’s sport and activity celebrations. The bus is a great opportunity for club leaders to hop aboard, talk to Sport England and business experts PwC, to get free advice on how to manage and develop their organisation.

Whilst on board the double-decker club leaders will be able to complete online modules on finance, marketing and governance. In addition, they will be able to find out about seminars and a mentoring scheme being run as part of the Club Leaders Learning programme.

This programme is been delivered by Pricewaterhouse Coopers and is part of the £135 million National Lottery funded legacy programme Places, People, Play that’s bringing the spirit of the Olympic and Paralympic Games to grass-root sports across the UK.

The Just 30 Fair is now in its fifth year and will be bigger and better than ever, with over 30 stalls from local sports and activity clubs, sports demonstrations and family fitness classes. It is a great chance for everyone to come along and find out about the excellent sports and health activities that take place in York.
The fair is part of the council’s York Gold 2012 programme, which celebrates the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
