Transdev (Coastliner) announce changes to York bus services from Sunday 6th January 2013

Service 20: Askham Bar – Acomb – Poppleton – Clifton Moor – Monks Cross – University of York

The route between Askham Bar and Acomb been revised to run via Chaloner’s Road and Gale Lane. Knapton Village will no longer be served.

In Poppleton the route has been revised to run via Station Road, Long Ridge Lane and Millfield Lane – Main Street will no longer be served.

The section of route between Heslington Hall and Fulford has been withdrawn

Service 11: Bishopthorpe – City Centre

This new SUNDAY service replaces service 112 between Bishopthorpe and York City Centre.

In the City Centre it will run in a loop via Clifford Street, Rougier Street and the Rail Station – passengers may get on or off the bus at any point on the loop.

Service 13A: Copmanthorpe – City Centre

This new SUNDAY service replaces service 113 between Copmanthorpe and York City Centre.

In the City Centre it will run in a loop via Clifford Street, Rougier Street and the Rail Station – passengers may get on or off the bus at any point on the loop.

Service 16A: Acomb – Holgate – City Centre – Elmfield Avenue

This new SUNDAY service replaces service 16 between Acomb and the City Centre and service 113 between Elmfield Avenue and the city centre. In the Elmfield Avenue area it will run in a loop via Malton Road, Elmfield Avenue, Monkton Road, Byland Avenue, Huntington Road, Fossway and Dodsworth Avenue- passengers may get on or off the bus at any point on the loop.

These changes have been made in order to improve punctuality and reliability of the service.

Unibus 44: City Centre – University of York – Sport Village

The frequency of the daytime service has been increased to every 7 to 8 minutes.

The Acomb and Stamford Bridge extensions have been withdrawn. The terminal point at the university is now the Sport Village.

Coastliner 844: Leeds – York – University of York

The route between York Rail Station and Heslington Hall has been revised to run via The Stonebow and Morrisons in both directions.
