More drop-in sessions for older people are taking place following the publication of a new, updated edition of the ‘Positive Ageing, Housing Choices’ booklet.

These new sessions follow the success of previous drop-ins which advised older residents, their carers and family members on any issue related to housing. ‘Positive Ageing, Housing Choices’ was initially launched during Housing Week 2012 and the advice booklet has now been revised after consultation with Age UK York, York Older Peoples’ Assembly and Older Citizens’ Advocacy York as well as drawing on feedback from earlier sessions and guide readers.

This latest series of drop-in sessions will be running between May and June on the first Friday of the month, 13.00 -14.30 at Alex Lyon House, 5th Avenue, Tang Hall, Y031 0YB and on the third Friday of the month, 10.00 -12.00 at Auden House, Cemetery Road, YO10 5FD.
