Police appeal for accident witnesses

York police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was hit by a car at Monks Cross.

The pedestrian, a 67-year-old local man, sustained a knee injury when he was struck by a light blue car in the pick up area outside Asda at around 10am on Saturday 18 May 2013.

Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them with information.

Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for PC Gareth Vaughan or York police.
