A series of short films about life in the Tang Hall area of York will premiere at a special screening at Burnholme Community College on 29 November.
Filmed during the summer by a group of young, enthusiastic residents as part of the Tang Hall Big Local project, the films give an insight into what local people think about living in the area.
They examine how funding secured by Tang Hall Big Local can be used to make the area a better place to live, and include footage from a number of hugely successful and high-profile, community-led projects and events, including The Big Gig, the award-winning Tour de Tang Hall and Glen Garden’s Digin project.
The screening will take place between 3pm and 6pm, and will be followed by a question and answer session. Refreshments will be provided and everyone is welcome. Email annatanghall@gmail.com or telephone 07801 496247 for more details or to reserve your place.
The Tang Hall Big Local steering group has been awarded £1 million of lottery funding to spend over the next ten years on improving the lives of local residents.
