City of York Council is encouraging residents who do not pay council tax by direct debit to access support that is available to help claim their £150 council tax rebate.

A claim can be made online HERE and there is a Freephone number open 8.30am to 5pm for support in completing the application which staff can do on residents’ behalf – call 0300 373 0727. You will need your payment reference number from your latest council tax bill and your bank account details if you want the £150 paid into your bank.

There are also face-to face advice sessions being held locally:

• Monday 6th & Monday 13th June, 1pm to 2.30pm at St James the Deacon Church, Sherringham Drive, Woodthorpe
• Friday 10th & Friday 17th June, 11.45am to 2pm at Foxwood Community Centre on Bellhouse Way
