A graduation ceremony is being held on Monday 17 November to celebrate the success of over 1000 York apprentices and the businesses that employ them.
The event which takes place between 7.30pm and 8.45pm will see the historic York Minster full of graduating apprentices from across the city.
Hundreds of guests will be arriving to support and celebrate the achievements of apprentices and apprentice employers across the city. As well as apprentices and parents the audience will include representatives from The Guilds, The National Apprenticeship Service, employers and training providers.
The first York Apprenticeship Award winners will also be named and presented their prizes as part of the event where over 1000 apprentices are eligible to graduate.
The awards will see sixteen finalists hear who has won in each of the four categories; Apprentice of the Year (16-24), Apprentice of the Year (25+), Small Employer of the Year and Large Employer of the Year.
Apprentices who have completed their Apprenticeship in York or with a York employer between the dates of 1 August 2013 and 31 October 2014 are eligible to graduate this year.
Those yet to register attendance to graduate, can arrive at York Minster through the North-West entrance between 6.30pm and 7pm on Monday 17 November to get registered on the night. Apprentices can bring up to five guests.
