A new path leading from Ashbourne Way to the entrance to Acomb Wood is taking shape, thanks to the efforts of a team from The Conservation Volunteers.
Work on the path, which has been funded from the Dringhouses & Woodthorpe ward budget, started on Thursday 23 March and should be completed on the 24th.
Community and voluntary groups across Dringhouses & Woodthorpe ward are invited to apply for a share of the 2017/18 ward budget. The deadline for receipt of applications is 30 April 2017.
Residents are invited to attend the Dringhouses & Woodthorpe Ward Committee meeting on Wednesday 15th February at Woodthorpe Primary School, Summerfield Road, York YO24 2RU.
There will be a drop-in session from 6.30pm to provide an opportunity to chat with local councillors. The meeting starts at 7pm.
Two new community noticeboards have been installed in the Tadcaster Road area, paid for from the Ward Committee budget.
The new boards are located on Tadcaster Raod near to the junction with Mayfield Grove, and on the cycle path at the top end of the Revival estate.

The next Dringhouses & Woodthorpe ward committee meeting takes place on Tuesday 19th July at Woodthorpe primary school, Summerfield Road, YO24 2RU.
There will be a ‘market place’ from 6.30pm, with the main meeting getting underway at 7pm.
Topics for discussion include the Local Plan, youth provision and the ward budget for 2016/17.
All local residents are welcome to attend and have their say.
The Dringhouses & Woodthorpe Ward Committee meets on Thursday 28 April at 7pm at the newly-refurbished St Edward the Confessor Community Hall.
The meeting is billed as an ‘Ideas Exchange’ to provide residents with an opportunity for informal group discussions on local priorities.
Ward councillors will also give an update on the ward budget for 2016/17, and there’ll be a chance to ask questions of Ann, Ashley and Stephen.
