The Woodthorpe Community Group hosts its ever-popular Fun Day on 14th July on Woodthorpe Green, from 12 noon to 6pm.
The Dringhouses Local History Group will be hosting a talk titled ‘Unmentionables – a brief history of underwear’ at St Edwards Church Hall on Thursday 20 June at 7.30pm.
The Woodthorpe Community Group does a lot of good work locally, and they are having a fundraising ladies fashion show and pop-up shop to help raise money for the popular summer fun day and other local activities.
The fashion show is on the evening of Thursday 27th June at Dringhouses Sports & Social Club on St Helens Road, and all ages, shapes and sizes are welcome! And it’s only £5.

The York Walk Cycle Festival takes place between 26th and 31st May, with a range of events open to all.
The Dringhouses Local History Group AGM takes place on Thursday 16th May at 7.30pm at St Edward the Confessor Community Hall. It will be followed by a presentation on the Great Western Railway.
