Tomorrow (Energise & Foxwood Park) and Tuesday (Acomb Green)
Their aim will be to complete the renovation of the Foxwood Park and regenerate the area to the rear of the Foxwood Community Centre.
Currently a survey is being conducted aimed at finding out residents priorities for the area. In particular residents are being asked whether a small part of the Foxwood Park should become a dog walking area (with dogs banned from the rest of the park).
There is also a suggestion that the, little used, playground to the rear of the community centre should be converted into a garden and/or allotments. The playground has to be maintained by volunteers and is currently only open when an event is taking place at the Centre.
The Centre itself is under some financial pressure because of Council cuts but is confident that the “make over” will help to encourage more volunteers to support the facilities

Throughout the first week of the spring volunteers have helped to tidy Clifton and Rawcliffe.
During week two (24-30 March) of the spring clean will be focused on the Dringhouses and Woodthorpe ward plus the Foxwood park.

The spring clean will consist of various tasks, such as litter clearance, edging off grass verges, cutting back over grown vegetation and fence repairs.
Volunteers are being called upon to help spruce up Nelsons Lane play are on March 25.
York residents will also have the opportunity to nominate communal spaces for the team to spruce up and help make a smarter York.
This can be done by going to https://www.york.gov.uk/springclean and adding a new request. Residents and businesses can also volunteer to carry out tasks in their local area.
