Residents are invited to the AGM of the Friends of Chapmans Pond, to be held on Monday 29 July at 7pm at the Indoor Bowls Club on Thanet Road.
Residents enjoy Woodthorpe Fun Day
Residents from the Woodthorpe area and beyond enjoyed an afternoon in the sunshine at the annual Fun Day held on the Green on Sunday 14th July.
The musical entertainment was capped off by the Grand Old Uke of York and the Entertainment Company.
Local councillors from the Dringhouses & Woodthorpe and Westfield wards were on hand to chat to residents, and local groups such as the Friends of Acomb Wood and Friends of Chapmans Pond signed up new members.

The Dringhouses Local History Group will be hosting a talk titled ‘Unmentionables – a brief history of underwear’ at St Edwards Church Hall on Thursday 20 June at 7.30pm.
What’s on – Fundraising Fashion Show on 27th June
The Woodthorpe Community Group does a lot of good work locally, and they are having a fundraising ladies fashion show and pop-up shop to help raise money for the popular summer fun day and other local activities.
The fashion show is on the evening of Thursday 27th June at Dringhouses Sports & Social Club on St Helens Road, and all ages, shapes and sizes are welcome! And it’s only £5.
