Residents are being asked not to park on Railway View and Northfield Terrace on Wednesday 19 October between 9am and 3pm to enable a ‘deep clean’ of the street to take place.
Moor Lane closure for road resurfacing on 24 October
City of York Council will be carrying out carriageway maintenance works at Moor Lane commencing on Monday 24th October for a period of one day (weather permitting).
The site extents are as shown on the plan below. The works will be carried out between 9.15am and 4.00pm.

The works will consist of resurfacing sections of Moor Lane together with the renewal / adjustment of some carriageway ironwork and the reinstatement of all road markings.
In order to carry out these works safely the use of a temporary road closure from the junction of A1237 Ring Road to the junction with Cairnborrow will be necessary whilst works are taking place. A clearly signed diversion route will be set out for through traffic. Site staff will be on hand to advise and assist residents about the access restrictions once the works are ongoing.
Emergency services will be permitted through the works in any situation.
Carrfield barriers get a lick of paint
The barriers at both ends of the snicket that links Carrfield with Teal Drive have had a much-needed lick of paint. The cycle hoops at the Middlethorpe Grove shops have also been re-painted.

What’s on – Dringhouses & Woodthorpe Ward Committee meeting on 19 October
All residents are invited to attend the Dringhouses & Woodthorpe Ward Committee meeting on Wednesday 19th October at St Edward the Confessor Church on Tadcaster Road.
There will be a drop-in session from 6.30pm which will provide an opportunity to chat to ward councillors and find out more about some of the groups and organisations that are active locally. The main meeting will start at 7pm.

The bins are back!
The reinstatement of litter bins removed by the previous Labour administration has begun in Dringhouses & Woodthorpe ward.
The first two bins have been installed, on St Helens Road and Chaloners Road. Four more bins are due to be installed over the coming weeks, including at Woodthorpe Green play area.
